What each fabric actually looks like

The same window with three different fabric types. Transparent fabrics filter light and preserve the view. Semi-blackout softens daylight while maintaining privacy. Full blackout blocks light completely.

04 / Material Quality

The same specs
as the name brands

Reasonable question: are the materials cheaper because they're lower quality? Short answer — no. The factory we source from supplies the same fabric grades, hardware, and certifications you'd find on premium commercial roller shades from the major brands. Here are the specs.

Fabric composition
100% polyester, polyester + PVC, or fiberglass + PVC depending on category
Identical material classes used in premium commercial roller shades.
Fabric weight
155 – 430 g/m² (≈ 4.6 – 12.7 oz/yd²)
Sits squarely in the commercial-grade range used by name-brand contract products.
Fabric thickness
0.30 – 0.68 mm depending on opacity
Matches premium roller-shade spec ranges. Blackout fabrics are at the high end.
Max shade width
Up to ~118″ (300 cm)
Same maximum width as the major retailers — handles every standard residential window.
Fire rating
NFPA 701 certified on fire-resistant fabrics
The same fire-safety test used to certify commercial drapery and shades nationwide.
Sunscreen openness
1%, 3%, and 5% options
Industry-standard openness factors. 3% is the sweet spot for most living spaces.
Motors
Rechargeable in-shade lithium motors
Same motor format used by premium motorized shade brands. USB-C rechargeable, 6-month battery life.
Warranty
2 years on parts
Motors and components covered against defects under normal use.

Identical specs, different supply chain. Savings come from skipping the middlemen and the brand premium — not from the fabric in your windows.

06 / Process

How it works

Three steps. Most of it happens from your couch. We handle the factory order, the import logistics, and pricing.

i.

Choose your fabric

Browse the three catalogs above — blackout, light-filtering and sunscreen, or super-blackout — and pick the look you want. Real fabric samples available on request before you commit.

ii.

Measure your windows

For inside-mount shades (the most common), measure inside the window jamb itself — not the drywall around the window — close to where the shade will mount. Take three width measurements at the top, middle, and bottom of the opening and use the narrowest. Take three height measurements at the left, middle, and right and use the longest. Record measurements to the nearest 1/8 inch — don't round or subtract anything; the factory applies the proper deductions to make sure the shade fits cleanly. Most homeowners get through a whole house in under an hour.

iii.

Place the order

Fill in the order form above with your measurements, fabric choice, and motorized or manual per window. Print, save, or send the quote. Once confirmed, payment goes through and the factory begins production. Production runs 15–20 working days, followed by approximately two weeks of shipping. Install is a 10-minute job per shade with a drill.
